In my previous entries, I already explained that scrapbook fanatics like me can purchase their scrapbooking materials via the Internet. The Internet now offers wide selections of scrapbook materials and supplies that you can use with your journal or scrapbook activities. Aside from the convenience such online service offers, online scrapbook stores offer numerous variations of designs, templates, and layout designs that you can incorporate with your journals.
I already said earlier that online scrapbook stores are very convenient to scrapbookers like me, since I do not have to worry about looking for a great scrapbooking store that has all the materials I need for my scrapbook and journal crafting. A number of such online stores offer special discounts and the prices of some of their products are considerable lower than what non-online stores offer.
A perfect example of an online scrapbooking store is the "Scrapbooking Haven Online." Many of my friends prefer to buy their scrapbook and journal materials from the site, which is the Internet version of the Scrapbook Heaven store situated in Lexington, SC. The physical store aims to provide thousands of scrapbookers around the globe of the finest and best selections of the latest materials. The online scrapbooking store is created by Scrapbook Heaven to give fans the convenience of purchasing necessities by means of a fast Internet access.

I like to put cool and funky stickers to my journals or scrapbooks. The stickers I use vary according to the themes of my journals. Once, I did a scrapbook for the wedding anniversary of my parents, and I used a lot of cute wedding stickers and printed picture stickers of my parents. My output was really nice and my parents truly enjoyed it, especially the pictures. Hence, stickers are one of my favorite scrapbook supplies that I always use for my journal tasks.

When you browse through the Internet for scrapbook stickers, you will find cool selections of Disney-themed stickers. I love Disney characters so I am a total addict for Disney stickers. I made a baby scrapbook for my niece seven years ago, and I included a lot of Minnie Mouse stickers in it because Minnie is her favorite Disney character. I gave it to her when she turned nine and she truly loved it.

As I have said, the Internet offers a number of superb scrapbook supplies site. Such sites features different kinds of Disney character scrapbooking stickers, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Disney Princesses, and other all-time favorite Disney characters. With sticking cool and fun stickers placed in your journals, you would be able to enhance your creativity when it comes to designing and developing your personal things.

Why not try the latest digital scrapbooking instead of the common cut and paste means of creating journals? You see, digital scrapbooking is very cost effective, fun, and space-saving. It's cost efficient because if you buy your scrapbook materials from boutiques and stores, the materials can be utilized by other scrappers as well. A scrapbook fanatic and CEO of Scrap Girls Rozanne Paxman created the "Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed for Photoshop" that explains the various use of Photoshop software in your digital scrapbook layouts. The software is basically in movie format, wherein you learn and watch the various tasks of scrapbooking techniques using the Adobe Photoshop. The short movies are narrative, so it is easier for you can understand the full instructions and explanations on how the tricks and procedures are done.

I am very serious when it comes to designing my scrapbooks and journals. Also, I usually include all my favorite sayings and quotations in my journal. In fact, I have some journals that contain sayings and quotations I have collected from all the good and inspiring movies I saw and interesting books I have read. It has become a habit for me to highlight sayings that have great impact on me.
Sunday, May 6. 2007
Of course, the quotes that you should incorporate in your scrapbooks should go with the themes of your journals. You see, its nonsense to put sayings and quotations that do not go with your specific journal themes. If your journal is for someone special, try to include sayings and quotations that best remind you of that person. That person would surely have loads of fun reading all the sweet and inspirational sayings you have incorporated in the scrapbook

Aside from the creative photo design technique of your journals or scrapbooks, it is also a cool trick to add inspirational and encouraging sayings and quotations to go with your scrapbook design tasks. Among my favorite sayings is “Do not cry over spilled milk.? The saying is what I always try to keep in mind, especially during the trying days of my life. There is really no point in dwelling a lot of time in some things you cannot control, so it is best to let things be and go on with life.

A scrapbook has only one purpose, and that's to immortalize the memories held by the person who owns it. Thus, an appropriate term for it would be a scrapbook of memories. So what comes into your mind when the phrase "happiest childhood memories" pops up? Of course it would have to be the birthday celebrations you've had for the first few years of your life. With this idea being rather too late for comfort, you should make one for your kids. Here's one tip: journal those wish lists your kids make during their birthdays. Yes, and include them on their birthday scrapbooks!

Wednesday, May 2. 2007
Wish lists, especially those made during birthdays, could very well knock your head upside with a wave of memories both bitter and sweet. If you're viewing it after two to three decades since you made them, that is. Yes, and what better way to remember fondly what were your wildest dreams as a child than have a scrapbook which has a portion dedicated to your wish lists. But if you're too old to find a wish list that you made even on your last birthday, you should make one for your kids.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
A scrapbook for kids would probably be a better version than an adult's. You see, scrapbooks should contain your fondest memories. So which are you're fondest memories: the ones you've made during your childhood years, or those that you have made while you were too damn busy to even notice your life? I think that's relatively true, you know, with the advent of modern mobile solutions and all. With this, you should make a birthday scrapbook that has a portion dedicated to the wish lists that they have made. I think it would be one of their most treasured possessions when they grow old like you.

An actual grease pencil for a scrapbooking enthusiast is what a cocked shotgun is like to Kurt Cobain and the great Ernest Hemingway: a dead-serious answer for all your woes. This is because much like the Hemingway solution, using your handy grease pencils in delicately shaping and designing your scrapbook of memories would leave you a life of beauty. After all, a life of beauty is what should always be remembered in viewing someone's scrapbook of memories. With this tool, using stencils and templates for your scrapbooking ventures are given new dimensions.
Sunday, April 29. 2007
Templates are used, specifically for scrapbooking ventures, so as to design rather elegantly the pages on a scrapbook. These templates are usually made out of plastic translucent sheets, and are used to help in shaping photos on a scrapbook's pages. With a template and a handy grease pencil, chances are, you'll end up with a beautifully designed scrapbook full of elegant photo edges or borders. Plus, with an actual grease pencil, stencils could also be used to shape those photos on the pages of your scrapbook.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Stencils, too, are used so as to make elegant and accurate markings on the actual edges of every photo on pages of your scrapbook. But in using any other marker with acidic ink, you are likely to end up with damaged photos than beautifully designed photo borders. With this, it would be wise to use grease pencils. These pencils do not have any acidic content, nor are they destructive in any way to the photos on the pages of your scrapbook. With just enough creativity, you'll end up in absolutely no time at all with elegantly marked photo borders or edges. Yes, even better than using a good photo editor that costs about a hundred grease pencils.
Friday, April 27. 2007
Most people use a good photo editor to do some work on their scrapbooks. But, if you usually have the time to manually do some editing on your scrapbook, labeling the photos on the pages of your scrapbook with the necessary information is a good thing to do. This is because the necessary information, such as dates and names, could help you actually remember those moments in your life. But don't use felt-tip pens, for it would damage the photos on the pages of your scrapbook due to the ink's highly acidic property.
Thursday, April 26. 2007
Using pens with acidic ink could literally burn the photos on the pages of your scrapbook. Such pens with highly acidic ink are felt-tip pens. It would be better to use Stabilo markers. This is because these markers don't have any acidic ink content. Plus, these markers usually come in different colors, thus it would provide you with enough room for creativity. After all, designing the photos on the pages of your scrapbook with text markings could do wonders on the total design and layout of your scrapbook.
Wednesday, April 25. 2007
In addition, the ink of these felt-tip pens dries too slowly for comfort. Markings could easily be wiped out, which usually leave remnants that aren't quite visually appealing and all, you know. Plus, photos that are stacked up on the pages of your scrapbook, one on top of each other, could lead to ink-transfers that you don't want to happen. If you think using felt-tip pens to make some markings on the back of the photos wouldn't do any damage, chances are, the ink-transfers would. This is because the ink could transfer itself to the actual surface of another photo if the photos are actually stacked up one over the other.
Tuesday, April 24. 2007
We all have types of tools which could aid our scrapbooking ventures. But sometimes, most people's dim-witted heads take over rationality. They use all kinds of pencils and other what-have-yous to mark the photos on their damn scrapbooks with names and dates, plus a lot of shitty captions. Yes, without thinking which could damage the damn photos, or which are safe to use! With this, I would gladly help out these stupid friends of ours: Stabilo art pencils are damn perfect for photo marking!
Monday, April 23. 2007
I would choose manual designing over digital developments on your damn scrapbooks anytime, you know. You see, with your shit reflecting your crappy life, which is better to use: your own sorry-excuse for creativity, or a damn crappy program you know nothing about?! Manual designing can be learned naturally. Yes, even when you have spent a lot of time designing your scrapbooks using digital programs and other electronic stuff that the digital information world has to offer. On the other hand, your natural knack for creativity should be developed in a much shorter time, with much easier means.
Sunday, April 22. 2007
Stabilo pencils are tools that have long been used by the people of the world. The manufacturer of these art pencils has long known what the world needs, and are constantly monitoring each improvement on the field of design. With scrapbooks, these Stabilo pencils now have the capability to provide scrapbook fanatics a better option in safely designing the photos on their scrapbooks. Not only that, but these pencils could as well provide scrapbook aficionados a tool to efficiently design such markings they make on their scrapbook's photos.
Saturday, April 21. 2007
Scrapbooks are intended to provide us nostalgic images of past events, as well as a means to relive the memories we have acquired through the years. With the advent of Alzheimer's and other degenerating brain diseases, most people are now looking at scrapbooks as their prime ticket to memory lane. But how exactly would you manage to accurately remember and relive past events when the images are as damn blurry and scratched as your long-gone mental faculties! This is why people are very careful when it comes to handling their scrapbooks, and the Googalies scrapbooking cloth is as much as an actual answered prayer as a future poison for those cannibal cancer cells.
Friday, April 20. 2007
This cloth is used to efficiently clean the captured memories of yours in those photos. The Googalies scrapbooking cloth can provide you with security and efficiency when it comes to handling and the eventual cleaning of those photos you have on your scrapbook. It is made out of microsuede fabrics, namely nylon and polyester, thus it would not leave damaging marks on your photos. With this state-of-the-art cloth, there's no need to risk scratching those photos on your scrapbooks by using any ordinary cloth or anything damaging. It's pretty affordable, mind you! But even if it does cost a fortune, don't you think your memories are worth it?
